Evaluation Form for VOLUNTEERS
From 10.30am…..
To warm you up for the main event, a fun-filled morning of family
activities is planned. So turn up early for live music, children’s
entertainment, face painting much more besides at Victoria Embankment
Gardens.
From 11.00am…
All walkers must Check In on the day – even if you have already
registered to take part.
Because we are expecting lots more walkers this
year, we will be operating a staggered start for this year’s walk. When
you arrive to check in on the day, you will be allocated to a colour
coded group. This group will decide at what time you start the walk –
between 12pm and 12.30pm.
From 12.00pm……
The walk starts! Following your route map and route directions, enjoy
the sights and sounds of this historic part of London. Look out for our
friendly team of route marshals en route, who will give you a cheer and
a wave.
There are plenty of toilet facilities along the
route, which are marked on your route map and route directions.
Please note, this is a WALK and not a RUN. Because
the route will be crowded with other pedestrians, it is not safe for
NACC Walk participants to run the route. For details of NACC’s programme
of running events, please click here.
Please also note that there are several road
crossings along the route. Please listen to the marshals’ instructions
at all times when crossing roads, and ensure that children are
supervised.
From 1.00pm……
After all that walking, you are invited to rest your tired legs and
enjoy a family picnic. You bring the food, we’ll provide the
entertainment!
We
are delighted to announce a BRAND NEW ROUTE for the 2010 London Walk.
This year’s walk will be extra special in honour of NACC’s 30th
anniversary, so come along and help us celebrate!
