Our 30th Year is a time to celebrate all that the
Association has achieved and to look forward to how we can
continue to improve life for everyone affected by Ulcerative
Colitis and Crohn’s Disease. During the year we hope to
raise significant extra funds to support all aspects of
NACC’s work with a particular focus on raising awareness and
increasing people’s understanding of Inflammatory Bowel
Diseases.
Please do all you can to help support NACC in this special
year.

'Celebration Time' Rose
This lovely floribunda rose was launched at the BBC Gardeners’ World
Live Show in June 2009 to mark NACC’s 30th Anniversary. The rose has
been named ‘Celebration Time’ and is being sold in aid of NACC,
with 20% from each sale coming to NACC to support our work. Roses are
available for delivery from November 2009 onwards. Please
click here to download an order form.
'Party in the Garden for NACC'!
You can raise awareness of NACC and help our fundraising by holding a
party in a garden in aid of NACC. It might be with some friends and work
colleagues at home, or perhaps if you have a special garden, you could
open this for NACC. Maybe you could use a garden at school or work? We
hope to spread the word about NACC through events small and large across
the UK. We recommend you read our ‘How to hold a party in the garden’
leaflet, which has lots of ideas, tips and practical information such as
insurance concerns to help you arrange a successful event.
£30 for 30 years
If every member can donate, raise or collect £30 over the year, we would
have £900,000 extra to increase our information, support and research.
The NACC Pyramid Box might help you do this at home or work. You could
buy some NACC Anniversary lapel badges and sell them to friends, please
download our anniversary leaflet and use the form to order these.
PICTURE COMPETITION
Celebrating NACC’s 30th Anniversary
The winners of the Picture Competition have now been announced! Carrie
Grant was faced with the very difficult task of choosing the winners
when she came along to the NACC offices in St Albans.

out more.
Recognising NACC Volunteers
Over 40 nominations were received for the Recognition Awards, and a
panel of independent judges had the unenviable task of deciding who
should win in each category.
Each and every one of these volunteers makes a valuable contribution
which is highly valued by NACC staff and Trustees as well as people
affected by IBD nationwide. NACC is incredibly proud of its volunteers,
and are delighted to have been able to give members the opportunity to
help us to say ‘Thank You’.
The winners have been invited to the NACC AGM in Newcastle on 22nd May,
and will also receive a NACC Rose.

You can also download a full list of nominees for the
Special Commendation award and
Long Service & Achievement award.
Talk to 30 Awareness Campaign
Nationally we will be contacting 30 major employers in Britain to
make sure that they have information about the illnesses for their
employees. One of the ways you can help raise awareness with your
company, school or any club that you belong to is to ask them to adopt
NACC in our 30th anniversary year to benefit from their charity
fundraising.
