In memory giving – tributes that last. Donations given in memory of loved ones celebrate their lives and honour their values by helping us to make a positive difference to the lives of others.
Around 240,000 people in the UK have Colitis and Crohn’s – that’s one person in every 250. The conditions last a lifetime and there is no known cure. Our mission is to improve life for those affected by:
There are several ways of celebrating the life of a loved one through donations in memory:
The Gift Aid scheme enables us to reclaim tax from individual taxpayers who donate at no extra cost to them. This adds 28p to every £1 donated in memory of your loved one. We shall be happy to provide you with Gift Aid envelopes. Call us on 01727 734485. Thanking you We will write to thank you and let you know about the donations we receive (although we do not disclose the amount of individual donations or the names of the donors unless they give us permission to do so). If they wish, we will also write to thank the individuals or companies who give in memory of your loved one. We can include the name of your loved one in our online Book of Remembrance. We may also be able to include a few words in our newsletter.
We have an arrangement with MuchLoved.com to enable you to set up a web page in tribute to your loved one. This page can be personalised with photographs and music, and friends and family the world over can leave messages and memories. They can also honour your loved one by contributing to the fund by making donations, carrying out fundraising or asking for contributions instead of gifts on birthdays and other special occasions. You can set up a Tribute Fund by clicking here. For more information about celebrating the life of your loved one in this way, contact Lesley Eames (telephone 01727 734485, email ).
