Fundraising Marathons & Runs

Fancy that.... NACC can offer you a place in any major city marathon except London! You name a marathon we will see if there are places still available. The New York is a favourite – places for New York go well before the closing date in September. Pick up that phone, make your request and we will see what we can do. In the meantime get your running shoes on and start training!
See our London Marathon appeal

Please make a donation

If you would like to support NACC, please either make a donation online through our partner site Justgiving or use our printed donation form

you can also create a donations page for your own sponsored event through Justgiving.

When you donate via Justgiving they reclaim the income tax you have paid on that sum on our behalf (where you have declared yourself to be a UK tax payer) and add that to your donation before passing the total to NACC.

NACC pays Justgiving a small administration fee for this service which includes the charge made by the credit card company.

If you are interested in taking part in any of the events listed on our fundraising pages then please e-mail  or call 01727 830038.  There are many events and activities listed on these pages.  Please select a title below to read about that subject:

Paris is hailed as one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It is an ideal location to spend a few days exploring its many attractions, sampling the cuisine and also supporting NACC by taking part in this world famous marathon

NB – APPLICATIONS FOR THE PARIS MARATHON WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT A MEDICAL CERTIFICATE

London Marathon - 25th April 2010

Small charities like NACC are unable to obtain places for the London Marathon (we are 376th on their list of new charities application and have been since 2003 so we are unlikely to get places for the foreseeable future!) However, and to our great delight, during the past 5 years over 200 people have pledged to run in the London Marathon in support of NACC and well over 60% were successful in their application, raising a fantastic £150,341.98!

The ballot for 2010 will first open on 27th April – the day after the 2009 race. Click here to apply

Don’t miss your opportunity to apply and run for NACC during our 30th Anniversary! We would love to have your support during our 30th Anniversary Year.

Why not apply with friends, colleagues and family members to make it a memorable event? We can offer you a sponsor form, running vest, your very own webpage on JustGiving and literature to present to your sponsors.

GREAT NORTH RUN (13 miles) 19th September 2010

Donation £40 (made payable to NACC)
Recommended fundraising target:
£350

2009 was a fabulous event thanks to our runners, volunteers and to Abbott UK for their generous donation to cover some of our costs.

GNR TEAM NACC was 125 strong, most of whom visited our marquee with family and friends to lap up the fantastic atmosphere and have a leg massage, courtesy of Lauren Humprey and Chris Roberts, students at the Sports Therapy faculty of University College Birmingham.

NACC’s GNR Staff and Volunteer Working Team were delighted to meet you, know that many of you want to continue your support by taking part in the GNR again. It was a truly humbling experience to hear your stories, meet your families and friends and know that you share our aims to help everyone who is affect by Colitis & Crohn’s.
